It started with a logo. We had a PNG file and needed an SVG — a clean, scalable version that would not blur when resized for a banner, a business card, or a website header. Simple enough request.

The Technology
Our converter uses a browser-based vectorization engine built on the Potrace algorithm — the same open-source tracing technology used by Inkscape and many professional tools. It works by analyzing the brightness and edges in your image and tracing them into clean, scalable vector paths.
The entire process runs in JavaScript, directly in your browser. There is no server involved, no queue, and no waiting for a remote machine. Your device does all the work, which is why conversions happen in seconds and your images stay completely private.
